HARAMBEE'S EXECUTIVE BOARD IS COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING THE HARAMBEE COMMUNITY IN EVERY SHAPE OR FORM. WE ARE COMMITTED TO ADVOCATING FOR THE COMMUNITY'S NEEDS, ENSURING ALL RESIDENTS FEEL SAFE AND CARED FOR, AND BUILDING HARAMBEE'S RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BLACK COMMUNITY AT BROWN, RESIDENTIAL LIFE, ADMINISTRATION, AND THE LARGER BROWN COMMUNITY.
The executive board is elected every year by in-house and out-of-house Harambee members.

The secretary documents all necessary communications or notes within our archives and to bridge communication between the House and the leadership team.

The treasurer ensures that budgeting is being followed and profit is being maximized. The treasurer is also responsible for fundraising and working with the University to source funding.

The social media chair maintains the House’s social medias by uploading events, reposting information from sister organizations, and posting on stories regularly to keep both our members and the larger community engaged.

Event coordinator(s) plan and execute events that align with our mission and creates space for Black people, both members and non-members, to learn, grow, and enjoy that also adhere to University regulations.
